At The Organic Grocer we know how important it is to support ethical farms, as well as organically produced food products.  Did you know we’re committed to help create a secure and ethical global food system?

 

Whenever possible, we will source product from a local BC farm first. We’ve partnered with several farms and orchards across the province to ensure that you’ll always have access to high quality, BC produce.  Our owner brings fresh sprouts with him from Mayne Island every Tuesday, and our General Manager often picks up from Snow farm on her way into work – talk about farm fresh!!!

Organic vegetables from Snow Farms

Fresh Veggies from Snow Farms in Ladner, BC.  

The Snows have been growing certified organic vegetables since 1995.  They have farmed in the B.C. communities of Westwold, Bradner and now Ladner.  They’ve been farming in Ladner since 2000.

 

Snow Farms are truly family run – everyone is involved:  Harvie and Susan Snow manage Snow Farms Ltd.,  daughter, Meaghan, son Trevor and Harvie’s father, Gordon (Grandpa) all work on the farms with them.

 

The celery that comes out of this farm is SPECTACULAR!  We’ve never seen celery that big before!!!

Gus and his family grow flavourful fruits that we just love carrying!  We always make sure to have a little staff meeting to try the first of the crops when they come in 🙂
