Indigestion is a pain. Literally. More people suffer from chronic indigestion than from any other condition. Activate good digestion quickly with Digest-ForceTM Activated Coconut Charcoal & Ginger Root Extract, the newest member in Prairie Naturals Digestive Health product category.
What are the Ingredients in Digest-Force & What Do They Do?
Digest-Force combines the therapeutic power of activated charcoal from coconut husks with ginger root extract. Blending traditional practices with herbal medicine, this unique formula provides rapid relief from indigestion safely and effectively.
• Charcoal from Coconut Husks – It’s a fact that our planet’s original detoxifying agent is charcoal! Prairie Naturals coconut charcoal is “activated” through a carbonproducing process using high heat, pressure and steam. This process expands the therapeutic “adsorption” (suction) effect of charcoal by making it more porous and expanding its surface area. Prairie Naturals Digest-ForceTM formula with activated coconut charcoal has the distinct power to neutralize and eliminate various toxic substances (including allergens) by binding them unto itself and moving them safely out of the body. In fact, activated charcoal has proven so effective and safe that it is routinely used in hospitals as an antidote to drug and poison toxicity!
• Ginger Root (Zingiber officinale) Extract (10:1) – This traditional medicinal is revered as one of the world’s most ancient and effective digestive remedies. Extensive scientific analyses indicate that the primary active constituents (phytochemical terpenes gingerol and shogaol, along with oleoresin) aid & protect the digestive tract. The therapeutic use of ginger extract immediately reduces indigestion, gas, bloating and nausea.

About BLIS K12 – An advanced Oral Probiotic
BLIS K12 is a new, advanced probiotic discovered by Professor John Tagg from the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Otago in New Zealand. BLIS stands for Bacteriocin-Like-Inhibitory-Substance and is the naturally occurring component of certain strains of micro-organisms (probiotics) which control undesirable and disease-causing bacteria. BLIS K12 is the special BLIS probiotic strain derived from the friendly bacteria Streptococcus salivarius. It has been shown to safely control the bacteria that frequently cause strep throat, earache, upper respiratory infections, sinus infections and halitosis (bad breath).
5 Good Reasons to Chew CulturedCare™ Probiotic Gum with BLIS K12™
Provides Infection Protection
Contains a therapeutic dose of BLIS K12, oral probiotic bacteria that fight sore throats, earaches and upper respiratory infections.

Probiotics for Your Mouth
The word pro-biotic literally means “for life.” Probiotics are friendly, health-promoting bacteria that live virtually everywhere. They live in our soil, air, water and food. They even live in and on us, “colonizing” in various parts of the body including the mouth and intestinal tract. Restoring and keeping a healthy balance of friendly probiotic bacteria supports our natural immunity and resistance to disease-causing (pathogenic) bacteria. Probiotic supplements like lactobacillus acidophilus and bifidus have been growing in popularity for promoting gut and digestive health.
About Oral Probiotics
There are many kinds of probiotics, each with their own specific place of origin and job to do. Oral probiotics are the friendly bacteria that live in a healthy mouth. Oral probiotics prevent the overgrowth of unfriendly bacteria and act as our first line of defense against infections that enter through the mouth . Various factors, including the use of antibiotics and medicated mouthwash can reduce or destroy important oral probiotics.
Backed by Science
Based on more than 30 years of research by Professor John Tagg at the Department of Immunology and Microbiology, CulturedCare Probiotic Gum with BLIS K12 contains 20 mg and 500 million active bacteria at manufacturing. This is the exact amount of BLIS K12 recommended by Professor Tagg and his research.
Oral Probiotic Bacteria
The mouth is home to billions of bacteria – both good and bad. BLIS K12 is good oral probiotic bacteria that protects against infections where they most often enter the body – through the oral cavity (mouth).
Good for ear, nose and throat health
CulturedCare Probiotic Gum with BLIS K12 promotes ear, nose and throat health. Professor Tagg’s research has shown BLIS K12 to especially protect against infections that cause sore throats, earache, upper respiratory distress.
Chewing Gum Form
Because BLIS K12 is an oral-cavity probiotic, it needs to be delivered in a format that has prolonged contact with the mouth, making a chewing gum the perfect delivery system.
In the worship of Demeter, goddess of the harvest, the ancient Greeks beheld the mysteries of life itself in the simplicity of the single grain of wheat. They understood the incredible potential of the tiny seed. In it lies the power to sustain, nourish and satisfy. In the germination and sprouting process is contained the vital energies which transform the seed into a tall strong plant which can ultimately reproduce itself many times over.
And so today we are rediscovering, in our own homes, these very mysteries. Sprouted seeds and legumes are being eaten and enjoyed in unprecedented quantities in the 21st century. Sprouting provides fresh salad ingredients any time of year and is a fun thing to do with even very young children.
Nutritionally, sprouted seeds contain vitamins, minerals, enzymes, oxygen and proteins in an absorbable forms, which the most sophisticated supplement pill could not rival. Starches become simple natural sugars, splitting long-chain amino acids and converting saturated fats into free fatty acids, providing more nutrients gram for gram than any other known natural food.
Sprouting easily satisfies the demands of 21st century sustainability – it’s cheap, it’s fast, it doesn’t take up much space and, hey, it’s even FUN – on top of being so completely good for you! Here are some tips to get you started.
Overnight: soak almonds, hazels, cashews, sunflower seeds, etc. Then drain & rinse. Store in the fridge in a sealed container for just a day or two. This is enough to improve digestibility and flavour; add them to salads or to cooked rice.
Sprout for 3-5 days: following a simple soaking and rinsing system, alfalfa seeds, lentils, beans, wheat germ, will produce succulent shoots, providing a little salad patch in the tiniest corner of your own kitchen.
After soaking seeds or grains to grow shoots, make sure to keep the water. It now contains enzymes, vitamins and minerals that can benefit your houseplants.
If you’re interested in starting your own kitchen garden we’ve got what you need to get started. BioSnacky produces a small
jar with a screw-on mesh lid and integral stand, so that you can easily drain off water. There is also a 3-tiered set of trays, which allows you to sprout several varieties of seed without any extra effort. BioSnacky also offers a nice selection of organic seeds for growing at home, and we’ve got other grains and seeds in the bulk section that are viable for sprouting too!

Although probiotics and enzymes appear to perform similar functions, and both are beneficial to the vitality of the body (actually they are vital to sustaining life!) – they are, in fact very different in their helpful actions!!!
One of the major differences between digestive enzymes and probiotics is that probiotics are living organisms. They are typically bacterial, but there are also some yeast species that function as probiotics. Probiotic functions are numerous and they bolster health all over the body.
Enzymes, on the other hand, aren’t living. Enzymes are proteins, meaning they’re large molecules made up of long chains of smaller molecules called amino acids. Their function is to facilitate chemical reactions within the body. Your body produces enzymes in the cells of several different organs, including the stomach and pancreas, and secretes them as needed into the digestive tract.
Digestive enzymes break large nutritional molecules, including protein, carbohydrates and fats, into smaller molecules that your intestine can then absorb. Probiotics, on the other hand, have a variety of functions that change with the species of organism. They can assist in vitamin and mineral absorption, alleviate lactose intolerance and produce vitamins (including K and B vitamins).
Probiotics do not, however, break down food molecules you eat.
